Cyberattack on PK Softech AG, our external pension fund software provider

Schaffhausen, 8 October 2026

On 30 September 2026, our external software service provider, PK Softech AG, was the victim of a cyberattack. Based on the information currently available, the company has since confirmed that data must be assumed to have been extracted from PK Softech AG’s systems.

It has not yet been established whether data relating to members of the GF pension funds has also been affected.

As unauthorised access to insured members’ data cannot be ruled out at this stage, we recommend that, as a precaution, you remain particularly vigilant regarding unexpected emails, suspicious links or unusual attempts to contact you. Always verify any suspicious communication through the pension fund’s official contact channels.

The responsible Data Protection and Cybersecurity teams have been informed and have initiated all necessary measures.

We are in contact with PK Softech AG to determine whether our insured members may be affected and to establish the extent of any potential data breach.

We will inform you immediately of any new developments.

Further information about the incident is available in the official statement from PK Softech.

We want to keep the beneficiaries affiliated with our foundation constantly updated. Here you can find information about the Georg Fischer Pension Fund and current topics in the field of occupational pensions.
